Chapter Philanthropy

Every dollar Phi Mu Gamma Zeta raises goes directly to Duke Children's Hospital in Durham, NC. Over the course of the year, we host a fall and spring philanthropy week with several events including making cards and selling donuts, among others. Our two main events in the fall and spring respectively, are our Toy Drive and our Dance Marathon Kickoff Event!

The Toy Drive has been very successful on High Point University's campus since Spring 2017! The toys we collect are taken directly to Duke Children's Hospital and handed out to the patients by sisters of Phi Mu.

Our Dance Marathon Kickoff Event starts off the season of fundraising for Dance Marathon, an organization on campus raising money for the kids at the Duke Children's Hospital. Although we have only had the privilege to host the event for one year, we plan to continue this wonderful event for years to come. Having patients and families from Duke Children's Hospital attend our previous event gave us the opportunity to see firsthand the change we are making. We can't wait for our next Dance Marathon Kickoff Event!
